The man named Madman -a bit reflective and downcast- was in front of a mirror. And some of the most famous professors of a well known academy wanted to make fun of him and approached him saying: " What is the matter with you, why do you look at yourself in the mirror with timidity and lifeless? "
Then, he said, babbling as innocent child, starting to speak: " I have this mirror in front but I cannot see myself, I have tried several times. I have come near but I have not seen myself. I have tried to take it by surprise at night, and I even have hidden trying to see me but I didn't. I tried again at noon when there is a lot of light but I could not see myself."
Ha, ha, ha, they laughed and said: " How come that you cannot see yourself? " And they stood in front of the mirror saying: " Look at us, or maybe you cannot see us either? How come that we can see ourselves and you said that you cannot see yourself. If this is a mirror, it means that there is an image in front."
And the madman who seemed somewhat depressed said: " You cannot understand me yet. I cannot see you in the mirror either." Ha, ha, ha, they laughed. And said: " Poor lunatic, he is crazier every new day."
And they left laughing. But he still was pensive and when they were at some distance, he said very softly: " How sad that I cannot see myself in this mirror. Because for sure, I am not only that image reflected there."
