A person was walking by life with only enough for the daily living and by works of fate, he met someone who was asking for very little but when one does not have much, even very little, seems a lot. And he thought: " This person is asking for what I have, which is almost nothing. Nevertheless, I am going to share because life is not to be lived for caring  for myself only but life is to coexist with the universe. Besides, I can see myself in  this one who is asking, I do not have much but I have a little bit more than nothing and I must share my bread. He then, took his possessions and divided them in two and he said to the one who had asked: " Take what you need." And the one who had asked said: " I do not have anything except my great need; and your help is a great wealth. You have liberated me from poverty, while you have become poorer for helping me in my condition. And the one who was sharing said: " No, you have not made me poorer, you have taught me that the little that I have is a lot. You have made me richer because you, who said to be poor, you have given me spiritual nourishment since you have helped me to share. Then, many riches will come my way like appreciation, understanding, respect, friendship and gratitude. By looking at you, I can see myself and I renew my values, my efforts and dedication." And the one who had asked said: " I can see a great nobility and firm decision of good in you. I can see a man of faith, of principles and compassion and by having such a great heart, I am going to reveal a secret to you. I am not the beggar that you thought, I am not the humiliated man who does not have anything, I am not the one who suffers and is abandoned. I am an angel who has come down from heaven to see your heart.  And with great happiness and joy, I have found that you are the wealthiest man in the world because you have being able to give and to share. That is the reason that I have revealed myself to you so you will know that you path is the right one. You have more fortune than a mountain of gold, you have a pure, noble and gentile heart. The perfection and grace of the fraternal love are reflected in you. You know the supreme worth of the riches of the needs and of the true reality of love."  After saying these words, the angel embraced him. And the one who had shared, not only duplicated what he had but he had in abundance and his wealth could only be compared with the sky and its stars because he knew from that instant that God is present in the gift
of giving and receiving.
